homeschooling day 31
This week, I am going to write about the water problems in Malaysia. The water level in Selangor's dams fell to 57.5% beginning of this week. There is no water in many areas including Bandar Sungai Long and other areas, but lucky for me and some friends, Bandar Mahkota Cheras still has water supply. My mother was worried of not having any water. She filled many buckets of water, a few bottles of filtered water plus a few bottles of drinking water. Besides this, at the beginning of the week, I read the newspapers about Johor and Singapore's water trade. Johor sells 250 million gallons of raw water at 3 cents per 1000 gallons to Singapore daily. After Singapore filter the water, they sell it back to Johor at 50 cents per 1000 gallons of water. Coming back to our water problem, some people didn't bathe for for more than 5 days. On the other side of Malaysia, in Sabah and Sarawak, it was flooding. If only some water could come from Sabah and Sarawak to our area here, it will not be too dry and Sabah and Sarawak would not be too wet, same as in Australia and New Zealand. Australia often have bush fire and New Zealand keeps on raining. I hope that this plague or spell would end soon. I hope you all enjoy and I will see you all next friday.
