Written Narration: Secrets of the Universe

When we are observing anything we need three things:an object to observe, a light source and an observing instrument, like an eye or camera.  You can look at bigger objects with ease, but looking at electrons is harder.  The light is not focusing on the electron.  So scientists use X-rays.  The uncertainty principle tells us that it is impossible to measure atomic particles without disturbing them.

Written Narration: It Couldn't Just Happen

The bible says that God created the Universe and will one day end it.  They say that Evolution is false because it has only a little proof.  This book tells us that Jesus was really God's child, he raised from the dead and escaped.  On the second day the guards saw the tomb empty but outside some people saw Jesus.

Written Narration: Secrets of the Universe

Before 1897, atoms were the smallest possible pieces of matter until J J Thomson discovered electrons.  Proton, neutron and electron were the three main things to make an atom.  Quantum laws apply to only atoms or smaller.  An ordinary water hose starts  to dribble a little bit when you turn the tap on a little, as you continue to turn the water hose the water will increase.  But it is different using a quantum water hose.  When you turn it on, nothing will happen and when you continue turning suddenly water sprays out from the hose but it is one ml per droplet and lands at one meter.  If you continue turning on nothing will happen than it will suddenly shoot to two meters, but still one ml per droplet.

Written Narration: It Couldn't Just Happen

People belief there is two possibility of Earth's creation.  First is god created the Earth, and second is that things exploded in space and one of the pieces formed Earth.  The bible says that during the first day, God created the heavens and the Earth, on the second day, God created the sky, and so on.  People are thinking whether God's "day" is a 24 hour day or a long time.

The bible says that god destroyed human being except Noah and his family and all of the animals by a major flood that covers the mountains some 20 feet tall, but scientists say that if there was a flood, the landmass should have changed a lot.  We can't know for sure when earth was created and when humans were created.

Relativity is what things are doing depends on how it is being seen.  If you are traveling in a car which speed is 50 kmh.  You toss an apple forwards, it travels at 60 kmh, but if you toss it the opposite direction, it will travel at 40kmh.  That's why athletes take a few steps forward before they toss the ball.  Energy also has mass, more energy has heavier mass.

Written Narration: Never Give In

When Winston Churchill was looking back in the later years, Winston found his problem.  He wasn't engaged to imagination or interest.  His teacher never inspired him that passion for knowledge for real learning.  He said that knowledge not only belong to the school or professional, but to the hungry and willing, those who refuse to surrender the power of knowledge or the paths that lead to greatness.         He has a lot of courage, one time in the Boer war, while serving only as a journalist, he not only volunteered for a dangerous mission like that, he was captured while trying to save a man during a Boer attack.  Churchill planned his Curriculum and work all day to his satisfaction.

About six hundred years before Augustus time was the golden age of Greece.  During the golden age, Greece was filled with thinkers.  Pythagoras once asked his student to count.  When he counted to four Pythagoras asked him to stop.  He said the sum of 1,2,3 and 4 is 10.  He called it the holy triangle of four.  There is another man, Socrates.  What is goodness?  What is happiness?  When and why are you truly happy?  When are you miserable? he asks man.  Plato was Socrates' best student, he was both athlete and soldier.  Plato had a student called Aristotle.  Aristotle always disagree with his teacher.  To him facts are more important then ideas.  He created the first zoo and the first encyclopedia.  He was the last of the great Greek philosophers.

There are many wonders of the human body, your heart pumps blood to all over your body through 75000 miles of blood vessels.  Blood cells die and "reproduce" everyday, and you don't even notice it happening.  Another interesting thing is the digestive system, it turns your food into nutrients that is absorbed in your body, your liver cleans your body.  And in the eyes, the rod sapped cells let you see black and white, while the cone-like ones let you see colors.

diary

This holiday was full of stuff, I had awesome moments and at the same time, I have some sad moments too.  But I don't wish to write about those awful moments.

During the beginning of the holiday we went for an amazing up north trip.  During the first day, we went to a water pitcher making area.  There are six easy steps, their machines are also interesting.  After that we went to the charcoal factory and bought some condensed charcoal smoke, witch smells like vinegar or bacon to me.During the night we hiked up the hill to sleep in the monastery.

During the second day we went to Bujang valley where we saw foundations of ancient temples.  We also went to a mangrove museum and we saw some kingfishers.  We were truly amazed.  That night, we again went up to the monastery and have our night there.  Before we slept we stayed up to listen to a talk from the monk.

During the third day we visited the paddy museum and did our journals.  And on the bus home we watched movies and tell jokes.

For the few more days later we were at home studying until Thursday, when we went to our hometown.  We were making a short private film.  I was the director and we had lots of fun.  We came back on Sunday.  So that is my holiday

Archimedes war machines

Syracuse, where King Hiero ruled, was a peaceful land.  But all around it, in the Mediterranean, there was war.  The fiercest struggle was between Rome and Carthage.  They, trying to find away to divide the Mediterranean between themselves, made an agreement.  They decided that no Carthaginian ships should trade in the ports of Italy, and no Roman ships should enter the ports of Sicily.  King Hiero knew that sooner or later Syracuse will be in the war.

He asked Archimedes to help make war machines, but he refused.  At last the king used the argument that always worked.  "Think what you will be doing for the cause of science, Archimedes, think what it will mean if a man of science could provide the means to defend a city when the men of arms could not.  Finally Archimedes agreed.  When he started he already had plenty of ideas for the machines.  After they are created the army were trained to use them.  After  the king died, his grandson, Hieronymus, inherited the crown.  Hippocrates, a traitor who had been bribed by Carthage, murdered Hieronymus and seized control of the city.  Then he broke the long alliance with Rome.  And Rome was angry.  They launched an attack on Syracuse, Hippocrates asked Archimedes for help.
Archimedes asked the army to use the weapons.  One of the machines were used to lift boats,  Another was to fire stones at them.  Archimedes enjoyed his practical Geometry lesson, but was only sorry that Heiro wasn't there to see.

Adventures with Ben and Karl 10

Today at school during history class, Ben and I were reading about Achilles. It said in the book that his heel was not washed by the magical river so he was shot by Paris a poison arrow at his heel.  We felt pitiful for him.  That Sunday Ben and I went to the portal and we were ready for another adventure.

We landed at the river and saw Achilles's mother bathing him in the river.  His mother held his heel to tightly.  When he finished bathing we took some water to wash his heel.  And we suddenly teleported to the time when Achilles was about to get shot.  I saw Paris and quickly hit his bow so the arrow missed Achilles and it is much safer.

Achilles thanked us and we teleported to his old age when he was telling his children about us saving him.  He saw us and stopped the story.  He asked us why we are not older yet, and Ben said that we came from the future, thousands of years after his death.  Then we teleport back.

When we went to school the next day, on the book wrote Achilles won the war, Karl hit the bow of Paris and made his shot missed.  The book changed?  Only the people know...

beginning of essay 1

"Katie, have you noticed that?" asked Mr Smith.  "Yes, the water taps in our house has a problem." replied Katie.  Mr. Smith asked Katie to get the toolbox and a ladder.  "Time for fixing" said Mr. Smith.

Adventures of Ben and Karl 8

One Sunday, Ben and I were invited to a party in our friend, Eddy's house.  We decided to skip the adventure day.  We started to his house, when we reached there, his house was deserted.  We went in and saw a book lying on the floor.  It was a history book, we opened the book and saw the picture of the portal.

Below it we saw "built by Eddy in year 1700"  We were shocked.  Suddenly we teleported to the portal.  We saw Eddy there, I asked him, "Is it really you that built the portal?"  He said that he found it, and bot built it.  He said that he once went to the portal and slain a very evil wizard that wanted to take control of the universe.  He slain him and wear the beard and hat of the wizard and came out.

When he came out he saw a little boy.  He pulled me to the city.  Many reporters rushed to meet Eddy.  Eddy faked the story and after that, he chanted some words to make everyone forget.  When he went to the bookstore the second day, almost everybody was buying the history book.  Once Eddy opened it to read, he saw the portal.  He chanted some more words so only one copy of that book would exist on  this earth.  He also chanted a very strong spell so that everyone in the whole world would forget about the portal.

We went into the portal and found ourselves in New York city.  This time we did not really had an adventure. We were just taking a trip and see about in the city.  We went to take pictures with the statue of liberty.  We had quite some fun playing, eating etc.

Later we decided to teleport home.  When we reach home (eddy's home), Eddy passed us the spell book and asked us to chant the forgetting spell and make him forget about the portal.  We did it and said goodbye.

topic : phones make life worse, not easier

Technology is getting more and more advance.  Phones are invented, and I'd like to discuss a topic with you, phones make life worse, not easier.

First of all, with the use of phones we can communicate easily.  Without phones, we need to write letters, which need a longer time to reach the opposite side.  Without phones, during urgent times, help will arrive slower, and by that time, maybe help could already be useless.

With the phone, we do not need to always buy newspapers, which is so inconvenient, and we could read the news from the internet and is much convenient.  We also can use our phones for many alarms at once, while alarm clocks can set only one alarm at a time.

With the use of camera apps, GPS apps and others, you need not bring so much things along like cameras, GPS, and stuff.  It will be much convenient by then.  Phones also have entertainment apps, like youtube, pps etc.

So I feel that phones make life better, not worse.  So that is what I think, so thanks for reading.

Adventures of Ben and Karl 7

It was Sunday, as usual, Ben and I went to the cave for another adventure.  Before we entered, suddenly there are some wave like things, and before we know it,  our beautiful realistic world suddenly changed.

When we looked about, oh no, our world changed into a blocky world.  We saw blocks escaping from the box that I mentioned in chapter 4 in this series.  We quickly jumped into the box, The sky was dark.  We tried sleeping on our beds, but when we woke up, it's still dark.  We went to hero brine's mansion (sorry for not mentioning that when we slayed herobrine that time, he dropped a map to his mansion.

When we reached, there, in front of us was the reborned, much evil and powerful herobrine.  He was saying some enchanted words.  Next to him was a crystal ball, showing the real world that was changed into minecraft.  We drew our trusty swords and charged to him, and when we almost reached him, an invisible forcefield was protecting him.

We quickly imagine and set effects of strength level 255 for us.  Ben saw a herobrine-styled endercrystal was enabling his forcefield.  Ben asked me to keep herobrine not aware while he break the endercrystal.  When it broke, we charged at him once more.  This time, when we slayed him, we flipped through his enchanted spells book and disabled the respawn of herobrine.  We chanted the spell to get rid of the blocks in our real world.

When we got back, a realistic and not blocky world (our world) was back!  We kept the box to the minecraft world safe under the ground next to the portal.

Adventures of Ben and Karl 6

It was another day in minecraft, Ben and I were bored as usual.  Suddenly the sky grew dark, the animals are trying like hell to get out of their pens and escape.  We went out to see and redstone torches are placed surrounding our house.

"Herobrine is here!!!" I shouted.  We grabbed our swords and get ready.  Suddenly a fireball was fired to our direction, Ben hit back the fireball.  It missed, something whizzed pass our eyes and I managed to catch his legs.  I pierced my sword and slain him.

After that everything grew normal and we opened our box, teleported home.  We rested for some time, when the next week came, we went to the portal again.  We teleported, when we landed something ran in front of us.  I can't believe what I just saw, Bigfoot and her child.  Ben and I heard noises from behind for example "Stop, you beast!", and "We could earn billions when we get you"  and there were gun shots.

We ran to pounce at the two people and make them lose track of the Bigfoot and her child.  The Bigfoot looked behind, I could tell that she is very grateful.  The two people threw us off to the ground and captured us.  That night when they were sleeping the Bigfoot that we saved earlier came to rescue us.  Just as it was opening the cages for us to escape, they woke up.  "my my, look who has come join the party...".  He took his gun out and fired at Bigfoot, but nothing came out.  He saw baby Bigfoot destroying the bullets.  They saw their guns and saw the damage, as soon as we escaped Bigfoot destroyed their camp, carried Ben, her baby and I back to her home.

Bigfoot gave us some food to eat, and why would we pour the secrets of the existences of these legendary and kind creatures?  We only place monster's "souvenirs" in the museum.  We waved goodbye and teleported home.

ICAS science competition

Yipee!  I just finished the ICAS science competition yesterday.  Although the questions are quite tricky I still can do quite a few.  While doing yesterday I saw some of the questions that I did before, and luckily I have studied the Ph bar that afternoon because about 5 questions are about acidic and alkaline.  What I know about the Ph bar is that 7 is neutral, less than 7 is acidic and more than 7 is alkaline.  So I hope to get a distinction or high distinction, bye!!!

Adventures of Ben and Karl 5

One morning, Ben and I were adventuring in the desert.  After some time, we saw something in the distance, we ran there and we found a desert village next to a desert temple.  We got our diamond swords out and went into the desert temple.

Many mobs were spawning in there.  Zombies, spiders, creepers, skeletons and endermen were attacking us.  We drew our swords and started defending, soon our health were low.  We went out to the village and ate some bread and regenerate for a bit.  Soon we were ready.  We rushed back in, placed as many torches as possible to prevent the spawning of those hostile mobs.  We continued fighting until they are all killed.

We mined down the orange wool and looted the chests inside.  Suddenly I saw Ben almost stepping on the pressure plate, I quickly pushed him aside, mined the pressure plate and remove all the tnt.  We got some gold, emeralds and other random stuff.  When we went back up to the surface it was night time.  We decided to spend our night at the village and head back home by the next day.

When we woke up we headed back home, when we were traveling something in the jungle biome caught our eyes.  We went closer and saw a jungle temple.  We went inside and take a look, Suddenly I felt something at my feet.  I stepped on the tripwire hook, Ben heard the triggering sound and asked me to keep my head low.  An arrow was fired out of the dispenser camouflaged in the wall.  We were more careful.  We saw a chest and went to loot it.

Then we headed back home.  As soon as we were home we kept our loots and rested.  So make sure to stick around and continue reading the adventures of Ben and Karl.  Bye!

Adventures of Ben and Karl 4

One sunny Sunday, Ben and I were at the cave.  When we were about to jump into the portal, we something shiny at the other side of the cave.  We went to check it out, and we saw a box.  We opened it, immediately, we teleported to a place.

When we opened our eyes, we were at a blocky world.  "Minecraft!"  I shouted,"my favorite.".  We went to gather up some wood and crafted them into wooden planks.  After that, I build a house while Ben get some seeds and went mining.  After I built the house, I crafted a pickaxe and gather some stone and coal and iron.

We smelted the iron with a furnace and crafted a bucket and hoe.  We made a farm and planted our seeds.  After some time, night came,  we crafted swords and slayed the zombies, skeletons, spiders and creepers.  Time passed, soon it was morning and some of the crops were ready.  We got some sheep, cows and chickens.  We sheered the sheep and crafted ourselves two beds.  That day, we spent our time mining.  We also killed some enderman, mined into a mineshaft and got tons of diamonds and gold.  We mined obsidian and go up to the surface, then we made a nether portal and went to the nether.

We killed many wither skeletons and got some of their skulls, also we digged soulsand.  we summoned the wither and killed it for the nether star.  When we went back, we crafted eyes of ender and find the stronghold.  We went to the end and slayed the enderdragon, we got our levels and enchanted our armor and tools.

So Ben and I will continue the adventure in the next essay, bye!

Adventures of Ben and Karl 3

One Monday, Ben's family and my family went to China for a few days.  During the first day, we went exploring some places and ate some delicious food.  We asked our parents to book a hotel at that once was that kind family's house stood but now a resort.  Luckily the forest is still not cleared yet.  That night I dreamt about the phoenix that we saved in the ancient times.  It asked me to go to the place we left it.

By the next day I told Ben about the dream.  Ben had the same dream too.  We asked our families to go explore a little bit more in China while Ben and I go to the phoenix's.  When we were there the phoenix thanked us and brought us to fly around China.  "You look much better now," I said.  "Because it's already thousands of years ago," said the phoenix.  We flied and flied while it told us about more stories of China.

We learned about monsters like Nian, that monster was scared of loud sounds and red color.  As soon as we reached the ground, the phoenix gave me the arrow that was shot into its wings.  "I wanted to give it to the both of you that day but you all suddenly teleported,"  said the phoenix.  I answered "so why do you choose this time to tell us?", "I could only send dreams to the people in China, and I do not want to show myself and get killed by those crazy people in China" the phoenix said.

Ben took the arrow and before we left the phoenix asked us to collect its ashes and keep it safely and secretly.  It immediately transformed into ashes and we kept it in another small container and brought it back to the resort.  After a little while, our families returned.  "We'd better keep it a secret..." whispered Ben.

After the holiday, we went back home.  In Ben and my secret base, stood the feather, ashes, arrow and tears.  And Ben and I will be on another adventure soon, so bye!

Adventures of Ben and Karl 2

One Sunday, after the marvelous adventure slaying medusa and the minotaur, Ben and I were at the portal in the cave, but this time we tied a rope from the entrance of the cave to ourselves, so that nasty little creature would not get us today.  So after a while something pushed us, but this time I managed to catch it.  It was actually the baby of the monkey we were chased last time.  We decided to name it and make it our new adventure companion.  "Should we name it Donny or Danny?" asked I, "I think Danny would do."said Ben.

We untied the ropes and jumped into the portal, and we started to teleport to our new destination.  When we arrived, we were in ancient China.  Farmers at their fields, Butchers at their stalls and others.  We went to a shop to have some food and we were warmly welcomed by a kind family.  At night, we went to sleep, but suddenly Ben heard a squeaking noise outside and went to check it out.  He saw a fire and called me up.

Ben and I told the family about it and we went out.  After some time, we saw, in front of our very eyes, the legendary Phoenix.  We were amazed by the sight of the fiery bird.  On its wing there stuck an arrow.  The family helped it remove the arrow and bandage it.  I manage to get one wing and a small bottle of tears from it( it is believed that the phoenix's tears can heal wounds.  We brought it back deep into the woods.  Before leaving we said thanks to the kind family and were teleported again.

This time we landed in a pool of water.  When we came out, we saw some kappas( a creature with a beak of a bird, shell of a tortoise, hands of an otter and legs of a frog).  We started playing with them, we played with water, catch fish and others.  Before we left, we gave the kappas some cucumbers, their favorite food.

We once more teleported back home.  But this time we kept the secret of the kappa and hid the feather and tears of the legendary phoenix.  The next day, surprisingly, both our families brought use to china.  And this time Ben and I took the opportunity to do something that we can't forget, look for our dear friend the phoenix.  But that will be another story... Bye!!!

Adventures of Ben and Karl 1

Title: My best friend and I had an adventure.

It all started like this, my friend, Ben and I were strolling in the forest as we do Every Sunday.
"Hey bro, Do You want to venture deeper into the jungle than we do usually?"  I thought for a moment... "I think we could do so"  We started deep into the forest, after some time we were hungry, and luckily we had some food with us.  Suddenly from the bushes jumped an Enormous monkey and it started chasing us.  We dropped our food and started running for our lives.  We ran and ran till we lost sight of him.  We thought we could rest for a moment but we saw a cave with some light in it.  At that moment our curiosity conquered us, so we went in to look.  A magical, magnificent and lit portal was in front of our very eyes.  Suddenly we felt something pushed us and before we saw the thing, Ben and I were in the portal.

After some moment we were out of the portal and landed in some bushes.  We peeked outside and saw medusa, the monster that turns anything that looks into its eyes into stone.  Too bad medusa already saw us and we started to run away but to late, medusa turned Ben into stone, and I lay still on the ground.  I saw a shiny metal shield lying on the ground, I took it up and found a sword.  I reflected to see medusa.  I jumped up to strike but missed and tumbled to the floor.  I tried again and chopped off its head.

As soon as medusa's head was chopped off Ben recovered and saw me holding medusa's head, he was shocked.  We suddenly teleported to somewhere else, we landed in a place and immediately recognize it.  It was the labyrinth, created by the one an only Daedalus, we started to walk through the maze.  Suddenly, we saw a half bull half man, the minotaur.  It started rushing at us, luckily Ben was quite big sized and strong.  He wrestled the minotaur like mad, after an hour or so The minotaur and Ben were exhausted.  Ben took the opportunity to kill the minotaur and retrieve its horns.

We started to teleport again and finally came back to the cave.  We brought medusa's head and minotaur's horns to the museum.  We gave it to the Boss and he was so delighted that the legend has come true.  That very day, tons of people (including our classmates) went to the museum to see the souvenirs we left for the museum.  The next day at class the teacher gave us group projects.  Our group has to write down the names of the slayer of medusa and the slayer of the minotaur.  Ben and I  wrote our names down and passed up.  The teacher saw and scolded us for doing nonsense and we asked her to go to the museum and see.  During the next day the teacher apologized (you guys have to see her face when she apologized, she was so hilarious.)

"Ready for another trip to the portal again next week?"asked Ben, "you betcha" said I.  And that, my friends, shall be another another adventure, bye bye!

Archimedes principle

Hi guys, let me tell you a story of Archimedes and King Hiero's crown...  King Hiero loved his crown  very much.  He gave the goldsmith some pure gold to make a pure gold crown exactly like his old one.  After the goldsmith finished, he gave the king.  King Hiero put it on his head maybe a little to comfortably, so he suspected that the goldsmith cheated him and used some silver and kept some gold.  He asked Archimedes to help him check whether the goldsmith is cheating.  Archimedes took the gold crown home with him.  He started to weigh them, he tried to get back to other problem, but he couldn't concentrate on it.  He even forgot to bathe eat unless his slaves fed him.  One day, his slaves brought him to the baths to bathe.  When he went there, the bath attendant let to much water into the tub until it is almost overflowing.  He stepped into the tub and some water flowed out.  He immediately jump out of the tub, forgetting his clothes.  He ran across the street, shouting Eureka!!! Eureka!!!  in greek that means I found it...  He ran home and take a clay bowl and filled it with water.  He first put the goldsmith's crown into the bowl, some water, he did the same with the gold.  The water that flowed out is different.  The gold and crown should weigh the same, but they are different, silver is lighter than gold and more silver must be used to make it same so it took more space in the water and more water flowed out.  While discovering a whole new field of experiments opened to his mind.
heavier=more dense
Gold is heavier than iron.
Iron is heavier than wood.
Water is heavier than air.
Gravity pulls hardest to densest things, for example rocks are denser than water, water is denser than wood, wood is denser than air.
So this is what I learned this week, and I will se you next time, bye...

Albert Einstein part 1

Hey guys I am back here with another written narration, today I am going to narrate the story of Albert Einstein.  I am going to be writing in a few parts.  One day when Albert was young, his father Hermann and Albert's uncle Jacob gathered in front of the Residenztheater, the city's oldest grandest theater for something wonderful and strange event was about to happen.  Electric lights, long the rage in many parts of the world, would finally brighten in Munich for the first time.  The four-year-old Albert probably had the best view of all because his father carried him high up in the air.  In a great flash, the huge theater exploded in a blaze of bright, white light.  Albert was fascinated by the power of electricity, the way it could light an entire building with just a flick of the switch.  Albert din't look like a child that who would one day solve the riddles of the universe, or any riddle for that matter.  Even when Albert was born, his mother felt that something wrong with him.  So, I think that is enough for today, I hope that you all will enjoy my written narration, and remember to check my blog every Friday to see my written narration and I would be writing about Albert Einstein this few weeks.  So, bye.

homeschooling day 43

Hi guys, I am back here with another written narration.  Today I am going to be writing a Greece story of Daedalus and Icarus.  Long ago in Crete, there is a wise King named King Minos.  He has a subject, Daedalus.  Daedalus was wiser than King Minos, Daedalus not only invented the saw and the potter's wheel, but also taught the people how to rig sails for their vessels.  King Minos once sent Daedalus to build a labyrinth so complicated that no one could pass through it.  He built it until neither Daedalus nor his son, Icarus could get out.  They did not want to be prisoners, so Daedalus collected many feathers to create two pairs of wings.  After they are ready, they escaped and flew to Greece, but Daedalus was not cautious and Icarus flew too high.  The sun melted the wax and Icarus feel into the sea and drowned.  His father called the sea Icarian sea, in honor of his son.  Daedalus continue and flight to Greece and continue to invent there.  So this is the story of Daedalus and Icarus, so I hope you all enjoy the story.  So i will see you all next time, bye.

MH370

poor MH370...  Hi guys I am back, sorry for not delivering this post last Friday.  Sadly, an airoplane
( MH370 ) was lost last Saturday.  Recently, this is a very hot topic, this plane brought 239 passengers  aboard from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Beijing, China.  My sister's friend's relative's family was on board.  Two people brought fake passports and boarded the plane.  Even US sends investigators to join search for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane.  Eric Chen Zhi Yang,15 din't sleep for more than 30 hours, waiting for his lost parents , he says that normally his parents would pray before going on a trip, but this time they skipped their prayers.  He needs to take care of his 11 year old brother, who still does not know what is happening.  Vietnamese searchers on ships worked throughout the night but cannot rectangle object Sunday that was thought to be one of the doors of the plane.  Many people are praying for the MH370.  The father of Chan Huan Peen, 46, who was among the passengers aboard MH370, is clinging to the hope that his son will be found safe and sound.  So this is what I bring to you all, lets all pray for MH370, so I will see you all this Friday

homeschooling day 33

I was so silly again, sorry for forgetting to write my written narration last friday.  So I will be writing it today.  This week I read about porcupines.  The author named one porcupine Unk Wunk, it is not scared of anything, not even the canadian lynx that many other woodfolk don't dare to face.  The author described that every quill of Unk Wunk is like a south-east islander's sword.  Every barb of Unk Wunk is like a needle.  But the canadian lynx has a technique to eat porcupines, it stays low and aim for the neck and bite.  The bear also has one skill.  It will take a sleeping porcupine and keep banging it to the tree.  The author thinks that the porcupine has a crazy mind and loves roller coasters and get dizzy because the porcupine likes to roll down the hill and get dizzy.  Something that amazed me is that a porcupine finds two tall saplings and twist them together and it stays on top and become a barometer.  I also like the courage of a porcupine.  I think that's all for today and I hope you all enjoy and I will see you guys this Friday.  Bye for now...

homeschooling day 31

This week, I am going to write about the water problems in Malaysia.  The water level in Selangor's dams fell to 57.5% beginning of this week.  There is no water in many areas including Bandar Sungai Long and other areas, but lucky for me and some friends, Bandar Mahkota Cheras still has water supply.  My mother was worried of not having any water.  She filled many buckets of water, a few bottles of filtered water plus a few bottles of drinking water.  Besides this, at the beginning of the week, I read the newspapers about Johor and Singapore's water trade.  Johor sells 250 million gallons of raw water at 3 cents per 1000 gallons to Singapore daily.  After Singapore filter the water, they sell it back to Johor at 50 cents per 1000 gallons of water.  Coming back to our water problem, some people didn't bathe for for more than 5 days.  On the other side of Malaysia, in Sabah and Sarawak, it was flooding.  If only some water could come from Sabah and Sarawak to our area here, it will not be too dry and Sabah and Sarawak would not be too wet, same as in Australia and New Zealand.  Australia often have bush fire and New Zealand keeps on raining.  I hope that this plague or spell would end soon.  I hope you all enjoy and I will see you all next friday.

homeschooling day 27

Sorry you readers because I had no time to have my written narration last week.  So, today I am going to replace it. The Russian wanted to conquer Korea, at that time Japan's soldiers were new and not that powerful.  The Russians thought that Japan could not fight back them so they let Japan start the fight.  One midnight the japanese fired 16 torpedoes at the Rusian battleships.  The Russian army leader thought that their own army is training to fire torpedoes.  Only three Russian ships were destroyed, but two of those were the most valuable battleships in the Russian fleet.  Three months later, Japan destroyed Petrolovsk, the flagship of the Russian navy.  The admiral who commanded the whole Russian fleet was on board.  The boat sank, and he was never found.  Now Russia had lost its most  experienced commander.  They were forced to surrender.  The president of the United States helped to arrange a peace treaty between Japan and Russia.  Russia was forced to give up their plan of invading Korea.  So that is the written narration for last week and I will get all of you another written narration by the end of this week, I hope you all enjoy.

homeschooling day 20

Today is Friday, everyone...  That means my written narration day.  So, recently I read about the Korea battlegrounds.  Japan was growing stronger with even modern weapons, while China, after the terrible Taiping War became weaker and weaker.  Japan wanted to challenge China's power. But they did not fight in neither China nor Japan, they wanted to fight in Korea.  Poor Korea, the king, King Kojong usually let only China come to their area to trade.  Now Korea also let japan join in, but Japan and China must promise not to come to Korea and have war.  They signed the agreement, one night the queen of Korea had a nightmare. She feared that if japan conquered China, maybe Japan would also conquer Korea. One day, Korea had rebellions.  Korea asked china for help and japan misunderstood and had war with china.  The queen's fears came true.  After Japan ruled China they also conquered korea.  This is my written narration of this week,  I hope you enjoy.

homeschooling day 18

Today, I read something about bears that surprised me.  A bear, such a heavy animal, has an interesting living way.  When they want to escape from the hunters and they are on the spruce tree, they will just jump down, scaring the hunter.  And when they hit the ground, their muscles will contract and they will run away.  I really couldn't imagine that such a heavy animal could do such amazing tricks.  One more thing that I learnt is when you are near a bear, your attitude is completely different than the bear's.  Lets say if you are brave, the bear will be timid.  And when we are fearful, the bear knows what to do... So, this is today's journal, tomorrow I will be posting as usual.

homeschooling day 16

One of the stories that I read this week is about Africa.  The story says that one day, a boy was bored and started picking beautiful stones.  He found a shiny rock and brought it back for his mother.  His mother gave the rock to her neighbor, who admired it.  Turns out, it was a diamond.  When they went to the spot, they saw hundreds of diamonds scattered on the ground.  So, the British started building a diamond mine.  Speaking about diamonds, if I have them thenI would sell some of them and use the money for charity.  I feel that the diamonds should belong to the africans.  Every Friday I would have written narration on my blog.  I hope you readers enjoy my journal up to now.

primary school

Today, my mother  and I went to my primary school to collect money at my brother and sister's class.  There, I saw Zhi Kai, my old friend.  We were talking away until I saw Aunty Cheam.  I was surprised, I did not think that it will link up like that, but at least Zhi Kai and I get to meet each other today.  And what's more our school had quite a few more upgrades, I missed the school and I hope that they would upgrade until the school is better and better.

new year biscuits

This afternoon,my family (exempt my father) and my friend's family baked quite a lot of pineapple tarts.
When we baked enough cookies for other people, we made our own shapes, like burgers, tacos, egg rolls.  We had a lot of fun baking that we didn't even know that it was already in the evening when we finished. It was really a good experience.

homeschooling day 5

This morning, I read about Abraham Lincoln trying to stop slavery.  The unions think that slavery was illegal but the southerns think that slavery was legal, so they started the civil war. One night, he had a bad dream that he died and his coffin put in one of his rooms.  A few weeks later, He was invited to watch a play, and he sat on his rocking chair in his private room.  His guard should be guarding him, but was distracted and went down to watch the play.  Unfortunately, he was shot by a person from the southerns and died. His nightmare really did come true. I pity that Abraham Lincoln passed away just like that.  In the afternoon, I helped my mother to fry noodles.  I am truly enjoying my homeschooling.  I hope you like my journal.
